Chair export peak season reminder: certification, compression packaging, and inspection timeline.

From the third quarter to the beginning of the fourth quarter each year, it is the peak period for Chinese chair industry to send Christmas and Black Friday orders to Europe and America. For export-oriented enterprises and foreign trade buyers, the following points deserve special attention:

Pre certification: BSCI, ISO 9001 and other social compliance and quality certifications. It is recommended to complete the annual audit before June each year. Some European supermarket channels also require additional FSC (wood) and REACH (chemical) reports, and without one, they cannot be listed.

Compressed packaging reduces costs: The packaging volume of functional sofas and compressed sofas is only 50% -70% of that of traditional leisure chairs, and can be packed 30% -40% more in a 40 foot high cabinet. For orders that are sensitive to shipping costs, this is a feasible solution to directly reduce individual shipping costs.

Inspection scheduling: During peak season, inspection agencies have tight schedules. It is recommended to agree with the factory on a dual point control of “in-process sampling+final inspection before shipment”, and retain video documentation as supplementary records.

Production areas close to major ports (Ningbo, Shanghai), such as Anji and the surrounding areas of Hangzhou Bay, have natural advantages in emergency container and trailer dispatch.
